Enhance your business’ safety with Fire Warden training
31st July 2021
If you’re responsible for a property, be it commercial, industrial or residential, you have a duty of care to ensure your building is safe and properly equipped to deal with a fire. For businesses who are looking to improve their responsible persons’ skill set to increase the safety of their building and their occupants, fire warden training is essential.
What are the benefits of training a Fire Warden?
Fire wardens fulfil numerous duties, from the identification of fire risks to protect the property, to preparing and reviewing fire risk assessments, evacuation plans and understanding the appropriate fire equipment to use. Their increased level of fire safety helps educate their employers and peers, which help ensure the company’s legal duties are met whilst improving the safety of others.
In the event of a fire, a fire warden is equipped with the knowledge and training to remain calm under pressure. They instil confidence in the workplace by ensuring the evacuation plan is followed effectively and in adverse situations, they’re more prepared to make tactical decisions under pressure.
